We are looking for an Embalmer to join our team at the East of England Co-op Funerals. As an Embalmer you will make a meaningful impact in providing a final tribute for our clients. Bring your expertise and compassion to provide personalised and dignified care to individuals from diverse backgrounds. With us, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and caring environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide caring and personalised support to clients from various backgrounds and religions.
  • Carry out daily preparations of the deceased and perform practical physical assessments.
  • Help colleagues understand the benefits of embalming through supportive guidance.
  • Uphold meticulous standards and attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
  • Actively participate in the community, fostering meaningful relationships and representing our co-op as a trusted and respected ambassador.

The person we are looking for 

  • Must have a recognised British Institute of Embalmers qualification (or equivalent).
  • Recognise the importance of providing an impeccable final tribute.
  • Possess excellent decision-making and task prioritisation skills, ensuring efficient and timely execution.
  • Demonstrate a pragmatic and versatile mindset, with an open and adaptable approach to various situations.
  • Have a compassionate demeanour and display emotional resilience.
